With only 1200 of this model ever made and only 198 making their way to NZ, the owner was lucky to have had the opportunity to save this rare classic.

Many of the 198 that arrived, were stripped for their valuable Cooper S running gear and scrapped! A car definitely worth expert care.

Consultation with the owners resulted in the vehicle being completely stripped and restored with a fully rebuilt Cooper S engine, gearbox and subframes. Any rust was addressed and totally repainted. Proudly driven by it’s owners in Tauranga NZ and complete with trophies for Best British Car in Show.
