With only 1200 of this model ever made and only 198 making their way to NZ, the owner was lucky to have had the opportunity to save this rare classic. Many of them were stripped for their valuable Cooper S running gear and scraped so the official number of cars remaining in NZ is unknown. Consultation with the owners resulted in the vehicle being completely striped and rebuilt with rebuilt Cooper S engine, gearbox and subframes, any rust addressed and totally repainted. Proudly driven by its owners in Tauranga, NZ.
